Frequently Asked Question
I’ve never bought art before. Where do I even start?
You’re not alone — many of the people who bring my paintings into their homes are buying art for the first time.
Start with how you want to feel.
Do you want your space to feel:
quieter
softer
more restful
less cluttered in your mind
Then look for the piece that makes your shoulders drop just a little when you see it.
That’s usually the right place to begin.
What’s the difference between an original painting and a print?
Original paintings are painted by hand in my studio.
They are one of a kind and carry the texture and movement of the brush.
Prints are carefully made reproductions of my original paintings.
They offer a more affordable way to bring the same sense of calm into your space.
Both are created to give you a quiet place for your eyes to rest.
How do I know what size to choose?
This is one of the most common worries — and it’s completely understandable.
A simple starting point:
Artwork usually looks best when it fills about 60–75% of the wall space above furniture.
But if measuring feels overwhelming, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
You can send me:
A photo of your wall
The width of the space
The width of your furniture (if there is any)
I’m happy to help you find a size that feels balanced and peaceful.
Will the colors look the same in my home?
I photograph each painting carefully so the colors appear as true as possible.
That said, colors can shift slightly depending on:
Screen brightness
Room lighting
Wall color
If you’re unsure, you’re always welcome to ask questions before purchasing.
It’s important that what arrives feels right to you.
Do you offer commissioned artwork?
Sometimes, yes.
If you're looking for something created especially for your space — a certain size, a gentle color palette, or a feeling you want to capture — I occasionally accept commissions when my schedule allows.
If you're considering this, you can share:
The size you’re hoping for
Colors you’re drawn to
Photos of your space (optional)
From there, we can talk through whether it’s a good fit.
How long will it take for my artwork to arrive?
Original paintings typically ship within 2–5 business days.
Prints usually ship within 3–5 business days.
Keep in mind that shipping times may be longer when holidays are approaching.
How do I care for my artwork?
Artwork is surprisingly easy to care for.
Just:
Keep it out of direct sunlight
Avoid damp areas
Dust gently with a dry cloth
That’s usually all it needs to stay beautiful for years.
Can I send artwork as a gift?
Yes — and artwork makes a deeply meaningful gift.
If you're sending it directly to someone, you can include:
A gift message
No pricing in the package
It’s a lovely way to give someone a moment of quiet in their space.
What if I’m worried about choosing the wrong piece?
