When I first set out to create "The Green Man," I was inspired by the rich tapestry of Celtic mythology and the deep connection to nature that it embodies. The Green Man, often depicted with a face made of leaves and vines, symbolizes rebirth and the cycle of life. I wanted to capture that essence in my painting, so I chose a vibrant green palette to evoke the lushness of the forest. The eyes, wide and expressive, reflect a sense of wisdom and tranquility, inviting viewers to pause and connect with the natural world around them.

As I sat down one sunny afternoon, I found myself drawn to the mystical allure of tarot cards. The way they tell stories, reveal hidden truths, and spark curiosity is simply enchanting. I decided to capture that magic in my painting, "The Reading." The scene depicts a beautifully arranged tarot card spread on a rustic wooden table, surrounded by soft, natural light that filters through the window, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each card is a portal to a different narrative, and I wanted to convey that sense of wonder and possibility.

In my painting, "Maiden Mother Crone," I wanted to capture the essence of femininity and the cycles of life through a serene and mystical lens. The image features a woman surrounded by ethereal angels, all set against the backdrop of a luminous moon. This piece was inspired by the rich tapestry of mythology and the symbolism found in tarot cards, where each figure represents a different stage of womanhood. I envisioned the woman as a bridge between the maiden's innocence, the mother's nurturing spirit, and the crone's wisdom, all harmoniously intertwined in a celestial dance.

In Norse mythology the earth is alive — not just soil and stone but a living spirit that holds every creature, every root, every secret. 🐍🐝🌸 Earth opens my 5-piece Norse Mythology Elements series. I packed this one with life — a snake, a mouse, a bee, an ant, flowers, leaves — all gathered around an ancient watching presence.

Odin had two ravens — Huginn, thought, and Muninn, memory. Every day they flew across the world and returned to whisper what they'd seen. 🐦⬛ Air is part of my Norse mythology elements series and these two felt like the perfect representation. Air isn't just wind — it carries everything invisible but essential. Thought. Memory. Story.

In Norse mythology, Surtr is the fire giant who carries a flaming sword brighter than the sun — destined to set the world ablaze at Ragnarök. 🔥 When I painted Fire for my Norse Mythology Elements series I didn't want anything calm or controlled. Fire in Norse mythology isn't warmth — it's transformation through destruction. I wanted every inch of this canvas to feel like heat.

In Norse mythology water is both boundary and beginning — the great ocean Jörmungandr encircles the whole world, and beneath the surface everything is connected. Water is Part 4 of my Norse Mythology Elements series. I wanted this one to feel alive with curiosity — that little otter looking right at you, the shark gliding past, the ghostly presence watching from the mist. Water holds more than we can se

Earth. Air. Fire. Water. And finally — Spirit. 🌟 The fifth element in Norse mythology is the force that binds all others together. For Spirit I wanted to paint exactly that — a pentagram containing every element within it, the cosmos swirling at the center, everything connected and complete. This series has been one of the most meaningful things I've painted.
