As you gaze at the painting, you can almost hear the soothing sounds of the water flowing beneath the bridge. I poured my heart into every brushstroke, aiming to capture not just the visual beauty but also the emotions that come with crossing a bridge—hope, adventure, and the promise of new beginnings. I painted “Bridge to Life” while I was away from home getting 6 weeks of radiation treatment after surgial removal of a cancerous brain tumor. The bridge represents crossing over from discovering the tumor to the other side where I am cancer free.
