This is a painting I was commissioned to do for a couple on the west coast as they redicorated their home.
In my painting, I aimed to convey not just the beauty of the sunset, but the emotions it stirred within me. Each brushstroke reflects the warmth of the sun as it kisses the water, creating a shimmering path that invites the viewer to step into the scene. The clouds, painted with delicate layers, dance across the sky, reminding us of the fleeting nature of time and the beauty that exists in every moment. I wanted to evoke a sense of tranquility and nostalgia, allowing anyone who gazes upon it to feel as if they are standing right there with me, experiencing the magic of that late summer evening.
